Friday the 13th in Memphis

Friday the 13th in Memphis Tennessee.

It was just before we hit Memphis back in 2010 that Shelly and I decided that we needed to get home faster.  So we drove through at 60 miles an hour.

This time, we ended up staying in the same hotel we had planned and did most of what we had wanted to do...

Our hotel was "money".  They let us park in a helpful spot (the carrier on top makes parking garages an adventure), check-in before noon and had this view of the Mississippi River. Mud Island park and it's monorail is right in the center of the picture.
Riding the monorail, texting with the girlfriend...
Mud Island contains a museum and a scale working replica of the lower Mississippi River that you can splash through.

Found Mud Island on the "River Walk".

Lots of kids in the fountain, except ours...

Walking back to hotel above the monorail.  You might recognize some of these sights from the movie "The Firm"
BBQ on Beale Street in Memphis was a "thumbs-up" from Emma as were the BABs from Shelly and I...

 Tomorrow is the beach!!!
