Last day on the beach!

The day dawned with some fog and much lighter winds...
Our last day by the ocean was very relaxing.  Everyone but me slept late. Our first mission was to find some interesting souvenirs (Jacob decided to sit this one out).

Although Malcolm liked all the sharp objects in this place it was pretty creepy...
We arrived to the shops as soon as they opened and the first one was a winner!  $60 later the kids and Shelly were happy and we moved on to other options.  The candy store was a pale comparison to Bruce's Candy store in Cannon Beach but the bakery we found was a hit.
Hey, I recognize that van!
After our shopping, it was time to hit the beach again...

It was a beautiful day!

Our hotel in the background...

Watch out Emma! Here he comes!

Shelly read while I got a sunburn... I, stupidly, thought it was too cold for that! Can you see me in her glasses?

I can't figure out how to make an arrow but we are the room to the right of the Best Western sign (with the door open).

Long day on the beach so we were hungry and tried out the Roadhouse 101 place.  We were too early for the live music and our waiter left much to be desired (although he was miles ahead of the guy at the spaghetti place).  The place had a biker bar feel to it and Shelly loved the wings (they were quite hot - Emma kept crying about how hot her mouth was but she kept eating them).

The boys might still be waiting for their sodas...

Shelly and I got ours right away! The glasses were much smaller than they look here...
Right before sunset (like literally 20 minutes) clouds rolled in..., bummer.

Waiting for the sun to set...

Our last glimpse of sunlight...

Jacob on a mission to find some shells. It was really not the beach for it but he did ok.
