Santa Monica

First stop of today (finally catching up on the blog) was Santa Monica. The traffic was tricky but the parking cost 1 dollar(!).



First heat wave of the year is in full swing across LA and the beaches were getting busy. We made it to the pier (after a one hour, 14 mile drive) by 10:30. A very unique blend of Americana...

The fish were not biting...

The Ferris wheel cost $25 for the family of 5 to take one 5 minute ride ("$1 on parking", "$1 on parking"...

The view was quite good.
